PROUD MOMENT FOR DETROIT, MICHIGAN AS MARTHA REEVES OF MARTHA & THE VANDELLAS GET A STAR ON THE HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME

Detroit’s own Martha Reeves,80, of the iconic R&B group Martha and The Vandellas now has good reason to dance in the streets because she is among a great list of performers that will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Martha Reeves and the Vandellas is best known for Motown hits like “Heatwave“, “Dancin in the Streets“, “Nowhere to Run“. Not only was Reeves successful in her recording career, but in politics as well. Reeves served on the Detroit City Council from 2005 until 2009. “I’ve always been here in Detroit, and I am thrilled to see generations come to my performances,” she said in a statement to WDIV local 4 News. No date has been set for Reeves to make her mark on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She can schedule her ceremony date anytime within the next two years.
Reeves can be spotted all over the City of Detroit singing and dancing just like she did when she was in her prime.
